Shipping & Delivery
From their hands to yours.
Every piece on Maker's Nook comes from an independent maker.
That means your order doesn't leave a giant warehouse. It is prepared and sent by the person or small business behind the work.
Here's what to expect once you place your order.
Your order is sent by the Maker.
When you purchase something on Maker's Nook, the Maker receives your order and prepares it for delivery.
Because our Makers work independently, preparation times can differ from shop to shop and product to product.
Some pieces may be ready to send. Others may need a little more time before they're on their way.
Good things aren't always sitting on a shelf.
Delivery costs
Delivery charges are shown during checkout before you place your order.
Each Maker sets the delivery options available for their shop, so the amount may differ depending on what you're buying and who you're buying it from.
Some Makers may also offer free delivery when your order from their shop reaches a certain value.
You'll see the available options and cost before you pay.
One checkout. More than one parcel.
Maker's Nook lets you buy from different Makers in the same order. Because each Maker prepares and sends their own products, items from different shops may:
- Arrive in separate parcels
- Have different delivery charges
- Be dispatched at different times
So don't worry if everything doesn't arrive together.
Your pieces are simply making their way to you from different Nooks.
When will my order arrive?
Delivery timing depends on the Maker, the product and the delivery option available for your order.
Where processing or delivery information is provided, you'll see it as part of the shopping and delivery experience.
Remember that handmade and independently produced work can sometimes take longer to prepare than mass-produced products.
We'd rather give Makers the time to send your order properly than pretend every piece can leave a warehouse overnight.
Tracking your order
Where tracking is available, the Maker can add the tracking information to your order once it has been dispatched.
This helps you keep track of your parcel while it's making its way to you.
You can also keep track of your orders through your Maker's Nook customer account.
Local pickup
Some Makers may offer local pickup as a delivery option. If pickup is available for your order, you'll see it during checkout.
Only select local pickup when it is offered by the Maker. Collection arrangements will depend on the options provided for that order.
Ordered something with a Nook Note?
Your Maker prepares the physical gift while Maker's Nook takes care of the Nook Note process.
Once your Nook Note has been approved, the correct QR code is connected to the gift before it is sent.
When the parcel arrives, the recipient simply scans the QR code to discover your message.

Maker's Nook brings independent Makers together in one marketplace, but every shop remains its own little business.
So when a parcel arrives at your door, it hasn't travelled from a Maker's Nook warehouse.
It has travelled from the person who made it.
